When does a company pay the engagement fee?
When the professional actually starts the agreed engagement. The formula is disclosed before introductions and the exact fee is accepted before work begins. An interview or accepted offer alone does not trigger the fee. If the engagement never begins, no engagement fee is due.
How is the 5% company fee calculated?
Valoent’s one-time fee is 5% of the professional’s agreed fees for the engagement, excluding taxes and reimbursable expenses. For hourly or variable work, the eligible budget and the exact Valoent fee are agreed before starting. Use the calculator above for an estimate.
Do professionals pay to register or apply?
No. Registration, profile creation, applications and being matched are free. Your first 4 successful projects are also free. From your 5th successful project, Professional Plus applies: ₹999 per project, charged only when a company selects you. You are never charged for applying or for being shortlisted.
What counts as a successful project?
A project where a company selects you and the engagement goes ahead through Valoent. Projects that are not confirmed or never begin do not count towards your 4 free projects and are not charged.
Are there monthly fees or deductions from earnings?
No monthly fees and no deductions from a professional’s earnings. The company’s 5% fee is charged once per professional engagement, and a professional’s ₹999 (from the 5th project) is a one-time charge per project. The recruiter subscription is a separate, planned offering and is not yet available to purchase.
What does the ₹4,999* recruiter price cover?
The ₹4,999 per month plan is meant for regular recruiters who run up to 5 engagements a month. It covers a recruiter workspace for multiple requirements, saved searches and shared shortlists, and that month’s subscription is credited against engagement fees billed in the same month. Who pays the professional, and are taxes included?
The company pays the professional directly under their separate agreement. Valoent’s service fee is invoiced or charged separately. Prices and calculator estimates exclude any applicable tax on Valoent’s fee; the exact tax and total are shown before a commitment.
What if a project ends early or needs a replacement?
Raise the issue with Valoent. Any replacement support, cancellation or refund arrangements are set out in your written service terms and in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. A cancellation after work starts does not automatically imply a refund.
