Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how Valoent, a company under Valorest Ventures ("Valoent", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our platform.

1. Information we collect

CategoryExamples
Account informationName, email address, phone number, account role (Professional, Company, Recruiter)
Profile informationSkills, experience, availability, rates, bio, company details, links to public professional profiles (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio) that you choose to submit for the Verified profile badge, and your chosen display name and avatar
Usage informationMatches viewed, invitations and interviews, messages sent within the platform, login activity
Payment informationTransaction records for engagement fees, selection fees or subscriptions, processed via our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers

2. How we use your information

  • To operate our automated, AI-assisted matching and show you relevant opportunities or candidates. To rank candidates, a third-party AI model (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) receives only the professional headline, skills and years of experience together with the requirement text. Your name, email address and phone number are never sent. AI scores only help order the suggestions; a person at the company decides whom to interview and engage.
  • To review the public profile links you submit for the Verified profile badge, and to verify company status where applicable. We do not ask professionals for government ID documents.
  • To send account-related emails, including one-time login codes and match notifications
  • To process payments for engagement fees, selection fees and subscriptions
  • To investigate misuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms & Conditions

3. When your information is shared

Your full contact details are not visible to Companies until an engagement with you has begun. Before that, once you show interest in an opportunity, a Company sees your chosen display name and profile information (skills, experience, availability, rates) without your legal name, email, or phone number being disclosed.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Consent choices at sign-up. You agree to the Terms of Use and confirm you have read this Notice as two separate choices. Making your profile searchable and receiving marketing updates are separate, optional choices that start unticked.
  • Profile visibility. Professionals choose whether their profile can be found by all enterprises and recruiters, by verified ones only, or by none (private). Your full name, photo, resume and contact details stay hidden until an engagement with you begins.
  • Privacy settings. Professionals can, from the Privacy tab of their dashboard, edit their data, download a copy of it, hide their profile, withdraw optional consents, and delete their account.
  • Pausing. Setting your availability to "not open to work" pauses new matches without deleting your profile.
  • Other requests. Anyone, including enterprise and recruiter accounts, can ask us to give access to, correct or delete personal data, withdraw consent, or raise a complaint using the form below or by writing to [email protected].

Cookies and similar storage

We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your choices. Optional analytics and marketing cookies are off unless you allow them. You can change this at any time using "Cookie preferences" in the page footer.

If you delete your account

We erase your profile, skills, availability, links, photo, resume and sign-in. Records that other people or our finances depend on, such as payment records and the project rooms you took part in, are kept without your name, email or login.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and row-level access controls on our database, to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

Valoent is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to this Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page.
